Zoom In Tool

The Zoom In Tool allows the user to interactively Zoom In on the Map Display.  Zooming in on the map is like zooming with a camera lens.  As you Zoom In, a smaller portion of the map appears bigger, so that you can see more detail in that area of the map.

Note: When ZIMAS starts, the Zoom In Tool is the selected tool by default.

There are 2 ways to Zoom In on the map.  Method 1 is to drag a box around the area of interest that you want to zoom to; method 2 is to click at the center of the area of interest to zoom in by a predefined factor of 2.

Note: As you zoom in closer on the map, additional data layers will become visible, such as the Zoning Labels in the previous screen snapshot.
